Irfan Pathan announced his retirement from all forms of cricket on 4th January 2020. Pathan’s retirement was not a surprise. Most of the players start their career in age 27-28 but he was dropped at that time now he is 35 and will be known as a former cricketer.
If we speak about him, he was an exceptional all-rounder in the Indian team. Who can forget his test hat-trick against Pakistan? Recently Star Sports asked about his best memories Pathan said, ‘I never thought of taking test hattrick and that too on the first 3 balls that was the most special feeling which I had’.

1) Irfan Pathan is the only cricketer who opened the batting and bowling in the same match in all 3 main formats of the game.
2) Fastest Indian to take 100 wickets in ODI, he took his 100th wicket against Pakistan in 2006.

4) He is also the second player to bowl the most number of maiden overs in IPL 1st is Praveen Kumar.
5) Irfan has the best bowling figures in the U 19 youth ODI, he took 9 wickets with conceding 16 runs against Bangladesh and the record is still unbroken.
6) Also in 2005 took 4 wicket haul in T20 history he was playing for Middlesex.
7) One of the players who didn’t take retirement and was still called as an expert in the Pre-match show.
